Hand Garden tools
Get your hands on some good quality hand tools. These hand garden tools are a few of the basic tools that most gardeners use on a regular basis.
Even if you use a roto tiller, mower or tractor you will still find a garden fork, shovel, rake and hoe useful and necessary tools.
Here are some of my personal favorites!
I believe the Master Gardening Digging Fork to be the finest digging fork on the market.
My family and I have been using these garden forks and spades for years and can personally attest to their good quality.
This digging fork has an extremely sturdy, hand-crafted, wooden handle made from solid red oak.
The head, made from durable stainless steel alloy, extends from the shaft into a multi-layer, polished blade. The size is standard for turning over soil and preparing areas for planting. Weighs 4.3 lbs. and measures 43 x 7 inches. Life time warranty.
Stainless Steel Oak Handled Digging Spade
This is another great tool from Master gardening This digging spade is a match for the digging fork described above. It has an extremely sturdy, hand-crafted, wooden handle made from solid red oak. The head, is made from durable stainless steel alloy. The size is standard for planting and edging. Particularly useful in cutting through dense soil or root infested areas. Typically, the spade is sharpened to aid in cutting roots. Weighs 4.3 lbs. and measures 44.5 x 7.0 inches. Life time warranty.
The Hula Hoe (also called stirrup hoe) saves your back from long hours of hand weeding, keeping you upright and moving through the garden quickly and efficiently. The blade remains under the surface of the soil as you push and pull, cutting weeds at their crowns. The Swiss-made spring steel stirrup-shaped blade and American ash handle combine for a durable, efficient tool you won't want to be without.

I haven't included a wheel barrow, rake or round nosed shovel as these tools are easily available at a local hardware store and can also be found in the gardening companies listed above and to the right. More information and suggestions for garden tools.
The quality garden hand tools listed above and to the left are hard to find and it is worth getting quality tools. You can find cheap garden forks, pruners etc. at your local hardware store but they don't usually last long.
